In 1998, Gulsima established her own consulting firm where she represented small to medium sized businesses from the Former Soviet Union.
In 2003, she relocated to the United States for family reasons. She continued her education in law and graduated from Tacoma Community College as a qualified American Bar Association accredited Paralegal.
Prior to joining Watson Immigration Law, Gulsima worked as an immigration paralegal at Pacific Law Inc., P.S. and before that, she also worked for the Immigration Assistance Center in Tacoma.
Membership
Gulsima is a voting member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) and Washington State Paralegal Association (WSPA). She is also a notary public.
Community Activities
Gulsima is a member of a Czech Table “Cesky Stolecek“ an established, on-going Slavic language speakers group organized by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literature at the University of Washington. In addition, she is an active participant of the Center for Czech Education and Culture in Seattle.
Languages
Gulsima fluently speaks, reads and writes Russian, Kazakh, Czech and knows conversational Slovak and Serbian.
Hobbies
Gulsima is a passionate marathon runner. She also loves to discover and circumnavigate islands around Puget Sound on her sea kayak and plays the cello at Tacoma Community College Chamber Orchestra.
