On March 14, 2011, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) held its annual EB5 Investor Visa conference in Las Vegas. The event was attended by some 250 immigration lawyers, several from as far as China. Watson Immigration Law attended the event to learn about the latest issues to better assist our clients. As always, this will remain a complex part of the immigration laws in the US. The government is continuing to interpret and reinterpret the regulations and we just have to continue to keep abreast of the updates.
Unfortunately, there was no update on the status of the Start Up Visa Act 2010 for the proposed EB6 visa. We shall continue to monitor the updates on EB6 visas and post information as they become available.
