Watson Immigration Law Scores Victory with O-1 Visa
Seattle, WA – April 20, 2011 – Watson Immigration Law (www.watsonimmigrationlaw.com) is pleased to announce today that it has secured an O-1 visa to bring U.K. premier league player, Adam Nowland to the U.S. as a soccer coach for the Everett-based team, Washington Rush Soccer Club. Joining a small group of elite players such as soccer legend Pele, Nowland was required to obtain a specialized visa as an “Alien of Extraordinary Ability” before beginning his employment. U.S. immigration regulations require certain foreign nationals who have received recognition for outstanding performance in the areas of arts, sciences, education, business or athletics to obtain an O or P visa in order to work or play for a professional sports team for an extended period of time in the states. Nowland’s visa approval was granted based on the case built by his attorney and substantiated by his reputation and acclaim as an international soccer star.

Born in Preston, England, Nowland was a talented child prodigy and was first hired to play professionally with the renowned Blackpool Football Club at the age of 17. He was the youngest player to ever score a goal for the team, a record that remains unbeaten. He continued to play for various high profile soccer teams in the U.K including West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, and Preston North End. In recent years, Nowland has focused his career on coaching.
