The Associated Press in this article elaborates on my concern about lack of leadership if immigration reform occurs. As you may recall, my concern is that implementation of new protocols, procedures, forms etc. will require strong leadership and know-how should there be passage if immigration reform. While I am glad Director Mayorkas will still be with the Department, I do think it is important to ensure there is competent leadership both DHS and USCIS. I will be watching the space closely.
