Manka Dhingra

the Law & Justice and Human Services & Corrections committees. She has been a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with King County since January 2000, and is the former Chair of the Therapeutic Alternative Unit. As Chair, she supervised the Regional Mental Health court, Veterans Court and the Community Assessment and Referral for Diversion program. She holds a JD from the University of Washington School of Law and Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.  Prior to becoming a prosecutor, she interned with the State Attorney General’s Office in their Criminal Division assisting with Sexually Violent Predator cases and also clerked for Justice Barbara Madsen at the Washington State Supreme Court from September 1997 to June 1998.

Manka currently serves on the Jury Diversity Task Force, Governor Inslee’s Poverty Reduction Work Group, Autonomous Vehicle Work Group, and the Work First Poverty Reduction Oversight Task Force.

Mona Das:

Mona Das was born to Indian parents who brought her with them to America in 1972 with 6 dollars and a dream. Growing up traditionally Indian, Das is the only of her siblings who is not a doctor or an engineer – Mona chose to follow her own path. Her career path led her to helping 1st time homebuyers secure their piece of the American Dream through homeownership. As a committed public servant, Mona is building on the record of achievement that includes work on behalf of women’s and immigrants’ rights, investing in a sustainable economy, and ensuring access to quality education for every Washingtonian. In 2012, Mona graduated from Seattle based Pinchot University, with an MBA in Sustainable Business.
