On Friday, October 2nd, 2009, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Seattle, Washington Women Lawyers celebrated their annual event. Approximately 250 people attended the event. Professor Rosana Peterson of Gonzaga University, who was just recently was appointed to the Federal Bench in Eastern Washington gave the keynote speech. With a speech that made the crowd laugh out loud, Professor Peterson represented the theme of WWL- the legacy of WWL. She served as president of WWL for the term 2000-2001. At this dinner, WWL President Amy Robinson handed over the baton to Pat Foster for the term 2009-2010.
Like all WWL events, the annual dinner was much fun and gave many the opportunity to mingle and catch up. As president-elect of the King County Chapter of WWL, I very much enjoyed the event and look forward to a year of great things from the organization.
