The April 2012 visa bulletin was released today. Here’s the pertinent information most of my readers are looking for:
For all countries except India, China, Philippines, and Mexico: F2A preference has advanced 78 days to priority date (PD) 8 October 2009 and F2B preference has advanced 61 days to 15 January 2004; F4 moves forward 31 days 8 November 2000; EB2 remains current and EB3 advances 24 days to 8 April March 2006.
For India only: F2A advances 78 days to PD 8 October 2009 and F2B advances 61 days to 15 January 2004; F4 advances 31 days 8 November 2000; No advancement in EB2 category leaving PD at 1 May 2010 and EB3 advances 10 days to 1 September 2002.
Many people were worried about retrogression this month too, it appears that fear is avoided again.
If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. In the meantime, as soon as the May 2012 visa bulletin is released, we will be posting updates.
