Assalamu Alaykum/ Peace be upon you,
– Did you know that from 1995 to 2005, 52 percent of Silicon Valley’s startups had a foreign-born founder?
– Were you aware that the EB5 visa provides a method for obtaining a green card for foreign nationals who invest money in the US?
– Did you know that an “EB-5 regional center” is a federally approved firm that pools capital from immigrant investors and that there are over 40 such centers in the state of Washington?
– Would you like to know why the Startup Visa is currently stuck in Congress despite having bi-partisan and White House support?
MAPS is pleased to be welcoming and hosting Ms Tahmina Watson, immigration attorney and founder of Watson Immigration Law, on Friday, September 18th at 7:30PM to 9PM in the MPR room to talk about: 1) the contribution of immigrant entrepreneurs to the US economy, 2) details on the EB-5 visa and 3) information on the Startup Visa. Ms Watson has recently published a book on this very topic and is an expert in the field.
This session is a unique opportunity to learn about the significant contribution of immigrants to the general US economy as well as understanding pathways to immigration via starting businesses in the United States. Please make it a priority to attend.
