On January 20, 2025, Executive Order 14159 was signed, emphasizing two crucial legal responsibilities for non-citizens:
- Fingerprint Registration: All non-citizens must comply with fingerprint registration requirements by Friday, April 11, 2025.
- Change of Address: All non-citizens are legally required to notify USCIS of any address change within 10 days of moving.
Failing to comply with these duties can lead to fines up to $5,000, imprisonment, and even deportation. These are now considered civil and criminal enforcement priorities.
