On December 8, 2009, Washington Women Lawyers- King County Chapter held their annual holiday party at the Farestart Restaurant in downtown Seattle. Approximately 70 – 80 people attended the festive event. At this event, generally the new board is ratified, as is the new president. Tahmina was officially made the president of the organization on the evening. Ms. Beth Terrell, the outgoing president highlighted all the amazing accomplishments of 2008-2009. In deed it was a great year with successful events and the launching of two new sections including the Criminal Law Section. Tahmina discussed some of the plans of 2010 which include continuing the current events, increased civic events, pro bono work, mentorship and much more.
