Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle (MAMAS) held their fourth annual banquet today at the W Hotel in downtown Seattle. The grand event was attended by some 300 people. At this event, MAMAS presents their annual Leadership and Justice award. The award is given to an individual who has paved the way to success for and has served as an inspiration to other women attorneys striving to excel in their legal careers while balancing family. This year, they honored Ms. Connie Collingsworth, General Counsel and Secratary of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Ms. Collingsworth gave an inspirational speech describing her career decisions as both a mother and attorney. William H. Gates Senior introduced Ms. Collingsworth.
