We have had several Libyan clients on F1 visa in the US suffering from hardship issues. This new notice is for Libyan citizens affected by the coutries current conditions:
Advance copy of DHS notice announcing the suspension of regulatory requirements so that Libyan F-1 students who are experiencing severe economic hardship as a direct result of the civil unrest in Libya since February 2011 may obtain employment authorization, work additional hours, and reduce their course load while continuing to maintain their F-1 status. The notice will be effective upon publication in the Federal Register on 6/10/11.
