On August 2, 2012, the Senate passed S. 3245 with unanimous consent. The bill was amended to provide a 3-year extension of the EB5 regional center program. The bill sought to make the EB5 program permanent but the senate reauthorized 3 years for now. The bill addresses four other programs as below:
