Today, the USCIS will start accepting new H1b petitions for fiscal year 2014. It is very likely that the visa numbers will run out in the first 3-5 days. In my opinion, there is a chance visa numbers could even be met today. It is more than likely that all petitions will be subject to a lottery this year.
