I am delighted and proud to announce that the movie I have been backing For Here or To Go?- a movie that does my advocacy for me for the need for a Startup Visa and high-skilled immigration reform- will be shown in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C!
I am grateful to Congressman Adam Smith and his office in helping arrange this event. Ever since watching the movie, I have been wanting to show this movie to lawmakers and their staff for a better understanding of the consequences of our current immigration laws and why they need reform. I am grateful that the universe has conspired to make that intent a reality. And timing is uncanny given the release of the new rules for international entrepreneur in the last few days. Here is a copy of the press release on the movie. If you have any questions or if you are in DC and want to attend, feel free to contact me! This is an invitation only event.

Feature Film “For Here or To Go?” Humanizes Entrepreneur, Skilled-Immigrant Issues in U.S.
Feature Film humanizing entrepreneur and high-skilled immigrant issues to be screened in Capitol Hill, Washington DC.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 29, 2016
A compelling and award-winning feature film, the first to put a human face on entrepreneur and high-skilled immigration problems in the U.S., will get a private screening on Capitol Hill this month.
“For Here or To Go?” uses persuasive story-telling to demonstrate how archaic immigration laws are preventing the U.S. from attracting and retaining skilled workers and entrepreneurs.
Set for 12 pm. Friday Sept. 2nd at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington D.C., the screening is presented in cooperation with Washington Congressman Adam Smith, in partnership with Unshackled Ventures and Seattle immigration attorney Tahmina Watson, an author, blogger and radio show host.
The movie highlights policy obstacles in immigration law as well as the problems caused by the lack of a Startup Visa. And it demonstrates the need in this global economy for a more modern approach to immigration.
Screened in 16 cities and on four continents, For Here or To Go? has garnered praise from across the country.
“Rishi [Bhilawadikar] created a rich set of characters, interwoven storylines, and a powerful content – including the challenge of romantic relationships while having an uncertain future around one’s immigration status – that drew me in to the movie,” Brad Feld, renowned venture capitalist and founder of TechStars said in his review of this movie.
