Tahmina To Speak At #MyVoteMyVoice at Optimism Brewery on October 22, 7-9pm

In one of the most consequential elections of our times, local Seattle community organizers have organized an event “My Vote My Voice” #MyVoteMyVoice on October 22 from 7pm to 9pm at Capitol Hill’s Optimism Brewing.   Featured speakers include Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson and American Muslim of the Year- Aneelah Afzali!

I am honored to have the privilege of speaking alongside them together with Erin Albanese, one of my co-founders of the Washington Immigrant Defense Network.

Given the current state of affairs in our country, an election has never been more important. Whether it is immigration, education, climate change, healthcare, Medicaid- all of these issues are at risk. It is not an exaggeration to say democracy is at risk.

If you care about democracy, about humanity, you must pay attention. Your voice has never been more important- use it. Vote! November 6th 2018! See you on October 22 at 7pm at Optimism Brewery!  RSVP, please attend and please do find me to say hello!
