BREAKING: USCIS Fee Rule Halted in its Entirety and Enjoined

Some positive news in a time when good news on the immigration front is few and far between – the new USCIS fee schedule, which was set to significantly increase immigration fees across the board, has been enjoined nationwide by the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California. The government is certain to appeal the injunction and given recent trends, we should anticipate that the U.S. Court of Appeals will overturn it and allow DHS/USCIS to implement the news fees. However, this process will take some time and we should take advantage of the reprieve to file any imminent cases while this window of opportunity is still open.
