Watson Immigration Law is proud to share that we sponsored and attended the SelectUSA Mexico City event last week. SelectUSA is the U.S. government program led by the U.S. Department of Commerce that focuses on facilitating job-creating business investment into the United States and raising awareness of the critical role that economic development plays in the U.S. economy. Since its inception, SelectUSA has facilitated more than $200 billion in investment, creating and/or retaining over 200,000 U.S. jobs.
Select USA held its inaugural event in Mexico City. It was a two-day event, attended by over 200 business owners and startup founders from all over Latin America. We were honored to have participated and speak.
We thank all the organizers and attendees. We specifically acknowledge the visionary leadership of John Breidenstine, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, Embassy of the United States of America, Ciudad de México, México. He was instrumental in ensuring such an event was created. John and his team icollaborated with the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico.
I discussed visas that founders can use but specifically emphasized that the International Entrepreneur Parole should be considered as a strong category. Afterall, it was created for startup founders!
If you are a startup or founder, you will find our guide book tremendously helpful. It is available on the book tab of our website. Our book is available in Spanish too.
