She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Environment, Energy & Technology Committee and also serves on the Health and Higher Education committees. Previously, she served as a Bellevue City Councilmember and a four-term State House Representative, becoming the first Indian-American elected to the Washington State House.
As a naturalized citizen, community leader, and public school parent, Senator Slatter’s journey from pharmacy to policy underscores the importance of representation, access, and opportunity for all.
