U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is implementing changes to immigration-related
fees as required by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (PL 119-21).
Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)
- New Fee: $40
- Old Fee: $21
- Effective Date: September 30, 2025
- Who it Affects: Travelers from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries, who must use the ESTA for B-1 (business) or B-2 (tourist) travel.

Electronic Visa Update Systems (EVUS)
- New Fee: The fee for enrollment in EVUS will be set at $30. All unpaid enrollments in the system after the system update on September 30, 2025, will be
subject to the new fee amount of $30. - Effective Date: The new fee amount is scheduled to be effective on September 30, 2025
- Who it Affects: All travelers with a People’s Republic of China passport containing a maximum validity 10-year B1/B2, B1 or B2 visa are required to have an EVUS enrollment prior to traveling to the
